If water usage exceeds a certain level the check valve shuts the water off to the house. The owner is immediately notified via an app and he is able to bypass the valve and turn water back on. According to the owner this valve was installed based on recommendations from his homeowners insurance provider. Please be cognizant of off hour water usage. If water is shut off and not turned back on within 15 minutes please call your agent.
